Next Wednesday a deputation from Hereford FC is set to meet the FA to give them an update to how the launch of the new club is going.
Part of the meeting will centre on which league the club will play in next season.
Hereford FC will put forward figures to show how much income has already been received and how much they expect by the start of the season.
Especially important will be the number of season tickets sold and how many more the club expect to sell by August. Currently just under 600 have been sold.
And with the facility to take credit card payments expected to be available sometime next week, that number will rise.
Armed with this information the club will have a strong case to push for as high a league place as possible.
The club may also point to sales of sponsorship and advertising which have been described as encouraging given the brochure was only released eariler this week.
They have already sold a reasonable number of the £1300 board/tickets/programme bundle.
However the best evidence is the number of season tickets sold.
The club office will be open on Saturday from 10am for sales and applications can be made on-line at:

Update 7.45am: Hereford FC chairman Jon Hale has commented: 'Please do try & buy your season ticket before we meet @FA on Wednesday. Step 5 likely, but can help our case.'
