Below is a statement from HUFCtoo:
Further
to our appeal for help published on Bulls News last week we have seen
considerable expressions of interest from people from all walks of life
offering their, help and assistance in any way they can. We would like to
say a big thank you to all those who have been in touch so far
particularly those who have provided us with information which was
previously unavailable to us.
We would like to clarify a couple points as we look to progress this idea:
1.
We are not seeking to be viewed as a polarising counter offer to the
consortium of businessmen led by Jon Hale. The intention is to assess
the viability of community owned club and present this information
clearly to the trust board and its members. If the proposal is to
succeed it would be for HUST to put it into action.
2.
With this in mind we have produced what we believe to be a robust,
costed and sustainable budget with a small surplus that gives every
reason to believe that a 100% Community Club is possible. We have shared
this information with trust chairman Chris Williams and await a
response with interest. The budget document can be viewed here:https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1DyO4SYcCV8_s0diAIHI0cfbAFDOpBR6oKuPCGAtJUDw/edit?usp=sharing
3.
Aside from the budget a second objection that has been raised to a
community owned club is a lack of interest within the community. This
cannot happen without the active involvement of the supporters. We have
set up an online workspace for the discussion and development of this
proposal and the first task is to assess the interest skills and
resources available. If you are at all interested in this proposal we
would encourage you to join the online workgroup.
