Speaking earlier today, Jon Hale gave his thoughts on the supporters meeting that took place last night – a meeting that was attended by over 300 people.
He said:
“I would personally like to thank each and every person who crammed into the Welsh Club last night on what was a hugely encouraging evening. The appetite for continuing football at Edgar Street is clearly evident, and to hear the passion and enthusiasm of Hereford fans was heartening.
“We are grateful to Chris Williams and the HUST Board for the invitation to present our proposals to their members and the supporter base, and are hopeful this has given our plan further clarity. We urge all HUST members to use their vote next Tuesday and Wednesday, as the HUST Board seek the mandate to partner with our group going forward.
“The well-structured questions last night gave further proof that supporters rightly want this club to be protected for future generations and we are committed to making sure that happens.
“Once the Articles of Association have been professionally prepared, ratified by the HUST Board – which is vitally important to reassure all supporters – and signed off by the club’s Board, everyone will see the many safeguards that will be in place even more clearly.
“Thank you, once again, to everyone who attended last night, for all the messages and e-mails offering help and support, and for the tremendous enthusiasm there clearly is from so many people for Hereford FC.
“Let’s make it happen.”
