Cllr Jim Kenyon has asked Hereford United supporters to keep their eye on the Edgar Street Stadium just in case someone decides to try and enter the ground and steal anything of value.
It's currently unknown when the liquidator will arrive at the stadium and it appears the Council have to await court permission before they can take over the ground.
It's understood Kenyon is organising a rota of fans to look after the ground.
Almost all supporters have now left the ground.
UPDATE: There are reports that some televisions at the club have been stolen.
