Summary From The High Court

BBC H&W's Matthew Bone has been at the High Court today. Here's a flavour of his report.

"These eight appearances at the High Court have been a series of threats to close the club down unless it pays off its debts.

"HMRC is the leader of this petition.

"They say that it's gone on long enough now.

"18 other creditors have attached themselves to this winding up order so a lot of people want paying and their patience has run out.

"Last time we were in Court, the club was saved at the last minute by a promise of a new investor coming in with £1.5M but today it was revealed that this £1.5M investor had pulled out and the owners said that was likely due to very negative reaction on social media and some threats they claimed.

"After that we heard there was another new investor promising £750K. That was named as a company called Newall Property Development.

"There was a pause whilst the parties considered that. In the meantime the company pulled out because of threats made on social media.

"Then Andy Lonsdale said he would put £1M into the club himself.

"With that promise he was given 15 days to do so so we'll meet again in two weeks.

"There was some angry reaction from the fans who questioned the motives of the new owners overall.

"It's fair to say that at the moment the relationship between the owners and a lot of the supporters is pretty dreadful.

"This came to a head outside court just afterwards.

"There were two supporters, Andy Lonsdale and former owner Tommy Agombar."

H&W then played a short clip in which Lonsdale can be heard telling one of the supporters - "if I ever see you at the club you'll be thrown out".

Bone then interviewed one of the supporters.

"Personally I've been watching them since I was seven years old.

"I've followed them all around the country.

"I hate to see the damage these guys are inflicting on a lovely, wonderful, friendly, community based club."
