O'Reilly Still Waiting On Lonsdales Promises Of Payment

Departed former Hereford United player Daniel O'Reilly has told the Hereford Times he is still waiting to be paid by the club after leaving six weeks ago.

O'Reilly last played for Jon Taylor's side on November 1st, telling the paper: “It’s not about the money, it’s the principle. If you are working in a job, you pay your employees.

“I left on good terms, it was my decision to leave. One of the reasons I left was because the money wasn’t coming in and I still haven’t been paid."

He was told one of the other players would be given the money, but that didn't happen either: “I was then given Andy Lonsdale’s number and he said he would sort it out, which was seven to 10 days ago. It has been going back and forth ever since.”

“When we were in the FA Trophy, the club got money, like £2,700 for one round. The money was meant to be split between us but we never received it.”

O'Reilly also says Tommy Agombar was involved in the club despite his ban, adding that Agombar had fined the players £20 each after not training while they had not been paid.

Lonsdale refused to speak to the paper about the club when contacted yesterday morning.
