Double Standards At Council Scruntiny Committee?

Herefordshire Council Scrutiny Committee has been accused of double standards following their decision yesterday to take a second look at the proposed route for a Southern Link Road for the City.

The Hereford Times reported that Herefordshire's Council's cabinet has to re-think its case for Hereford's £25 million SC2 southern link road..
A single vote saw the favoured SC2 route sent back to cabinet after a near five hour meeting of the council's overview and scrutiny committee yesterday.
Just seven councillors were left in session at Hereford Shirehall when the vote was called.

In the comments following the article one reader poised the following question.

So Herefordshire Council can conduct scrutiny on a road granted permission less than a month ago, but they won't look at the leases on Edgar Street that were granted 10 months ago?

Has someone got something to hide?
