News Round-Up

Burnham Chairman Gary Reeves says the club's debt is less than £25,000 after claims in the local media that it was as much as £100,000. Reeves, who has only been at the club for the last 18 months, admits they have small debts accruing here and there for coach travel or training facilities and are 'living month to month'.

Bristol Rovers are trying to sign strikers Lee Hughes and Matt Tubbs. 38 year old Hughes hasn't started a game for Forest Green for a month, despite netting six times in 13 appearances, while Bournemouth man Tubbs is currently on loan at Wimbledon where he will remain until January at least.

Lincoln Chairman Bob Dorrian says the Imps are 'running on empty' and cannot afford to appoint a new manager from outside the club. Caretaker boss Chris Moyses has been given four matches to earn the job on a permanent basis with Dorrian saying there are 'thousands of wannabes' out there claiming to be able to invest in football clubs.

The Conference say that not one of their 68 member clubs has outstanding debt to HMRC. It imposed new reporting rules six years ago, with debt dropping from a high of £2million to the point that all clubs have no long term debt with HMRC.
