Bobes-Gilroy Off As Hungerford Win

Sam Bobes-Gilroy Sees Red After He Pushed Grace-Parsons In The Face Following A Foul
Hereford United lost 2-0 to Hungerford Town in today's Southern League Premier match at Edgar Street.

Manager Jon Taylor recalled most of the starting eleven after the defeat by Cinderford in mid-week.

Jon Boardman opened the scoring after just two minutes, and James Pilling hit the second from a free kick after Sam Bobes-Gilroy was sent off for slapping his opponent after a challenge.

This was a poor performance by Taylor's team who came up against a more experienced side.

Hereford remain in 16th position in the table with 12 points from 11 games.

The attendance was reported as 323, including around 15 following Hungerford, another record low league attendance with Harry Agombar not on the teamsheet at all after two games in the past week.

Chairman Andy Lonsdale watched the game but there was no sign of Tommy Agombar, nor either of the two directors.

Hereford United Starting XI: Williams, Onyeike, Mahony, O’Neill, Gascogne, Gordon, Roberts, Bobes-Gilroy, Akinde, Yafai, Traore.

Subs: Barrientos, Fortnam-Tomlinson, Hawker, Oyibo, Jivanda.
