Redditch Will Test Bulls

Redditch United are the visitors to Edgar Street this afternoon and the relatively local side could prove tough opposition for the inexperienced but energetic Hereford United team.

On Saturday Redditch defeated Frome Town 2-0, both goals coming from sub Jamie Spencer. The Reds lie in fourth place in the League with 12 points from 5 games.

Hereford drew 1-1 at Arlesey Town. Salvador Ramirez scored a stunning equaliser for the Bulls not long after he had come on as a substitute.

Manager John Taylor told the press last week he was looking for four points this weekend.

"It is going to be two tough games, so I will be happy if we can get a minimum of four points.

"Redditch have done well and are quite lively up front."

Sammons Taking A Corner At Hyde
Redditch are expected to include Ashley Sammons in their side. He trialled with Hereford in July 2012 and made nine appreances for the Bulls before being released in October 2012.

It is thought that this afternoon's gate will be the highest at Edgar Street this season but still far lower than might be expected on an August Bank Holiday afternoon as a substantial number of supporters continue to boycott games.

The expected heavy rain could also curtail the gate.
