Hereford United finished their pre-season programme with an unannounced inter-squad training match last night on the Edgar Street pitch.
With pitch care virtually non-existent at the moment, the surface is reportedly showing signing of returning to it's original meadow status. The current squad and trialists split into two sides to play out a match with the club having failed to secure any form of outside opposition.
Mid Wales League side Hay St Marys, WMRL side Bartestree and Herefordshire league side Sinkums were all touted as potential opponents, but they all withdrew for various reasons.
The multiple cancellations through pre-season leave the club having played just one friendly in front of an impartial audience - the 5-5 draw with Droylsden - alongside a series of training games.
