A Month To Employ A Safety Consultant

Joel Nathan has told the Hereford Times that a safety consultant was employed by the club at midnight on Monday night.

With club chairman Andy Lonsdale telling the paper hours before that they had done 'all that they can' to secure a safety certificate on Edgar Street, the one thing they appear not to have done at that point was secure a Safety Officer - a crucial piece of the puzzle.

HUST Vice Chairman Martin Watson was on BBC Hereford & Worcester's Breakfast show this morning to express concern that the Council had shut the stadium on July 4th, but the club had taken until August 4th to appoint a suitable person to the Safety Officer role.

It was also raised by Watson that the football creditors had still to be paid. Former youth teamer Callum Brennan posted the following to Twitter last night:

Both Southern League Chairman Ken Turner and Secretary Jason Mills have failed to respond to requests from Bulls News for comment on the unpaid football creditors, and also an accusation directed at Jason Mills of using foul language towards one creditor.
