Southern League AGM Accepts Hereford With Qualifications

Hereford United have been accepted into the Southern League at today's AGM but it appears that acceptance has come with some qualifications.

One of those qualifications seems to be that all four sides of the ground should only be for football.

Another appears to be that Hereford have to confirm that they have paid their football creditors.

It's not known who represented Hereford at the AGM but David Keyte told BBC Hereford and Worcester earlier that he was not going.

Meanwhile the League continue to look for a new sponsor after Calor Gas dropped out.

UPDATE: The following appeared on the Banbury Town site:

Today's league AGM approved the three divisional constitutions but warned Hereford that all the club's football creditors must be paid and that the dispute over the lease of the Edgar Street stadium must be settled.

Hereford's position is precarious and it there is the possibility that the club might not survive until the start of the season, let alone complete its fixtures.
