For those who are not members of HUST, there's their latest update of what the Hereford United Supporters Trust has been doing during the past week or so.
£8,500 donations to be converted to shares
Over the last 10 days HUST members and friends of the Club have donated to HUST to help the club meet it's outstanding bills.
Last
Friday, at the request of the Club, we made a payment of £3,706
directly to HMRC to help the club earn a 7 day reprieve and allow it to
gather the money together from last weekend's events to clear the
remainder of the petition demands.
Then on Tuesday, with the club focusing on paying player and staff
wages, we handed over a further £4,000 ahead of the coach departure to
Welling to assist in paying the wage bill. This sum included money that
donators had specifically requested be used to pay wages.
The donated sums will be converted into shares in the Club for HUST
to move towards it's aim to provide a strong, pro-active, and
independent voice for all supporters of Hereford United. We are also
grateful to Ricky George for donating his £1,500 winnings from the Grand
National to HUST.
The Boards of HUST, HUISA, and the Club will meet on Monday night to discuss the future of the club and the plans going forward.
We would welcome any thoughts on the future of the club, and continue to seek original and unique fundraising ideas.
In other HUST news, father and son team Mike and
Kevin Pugh will be racing this weekend's Somerset Stages Rally with
decals on their car promoting the Club's plight.
HUST
will have their usual membership table in the VP Club ahead of today's
game, from 1.30pm to 2.45pm. Jack and Tony will be on hand to accept new
members, collect donations, and answer questions.
