Preedy - Win Was Just What We Needed

Three points for Hereford United at Welling last night topped off a good week for the Bulls with the excellent comedy gigs and the court case sorted.

No one was more pleased that director Dave Preedy.

"Just what we needed as Aldershot have won tonight 4-1 and Southport have drawn," Preedy told BN.

"But wow what a win, we needed that.

"And Kingsley to score, so pleased for the lad.

"They feel the pressure like we all are.

"We've had a great week fundraising and lifting people through fundraising, it's just gelled people together even more.

"But still massive work to do but this has gone a long way towards it.

"We needed a result because it brings on Saturday now and it might put a few more bums on seats."

Preedy was then asked about his day at the High Court.

"It was strange. You get a running order basically.

"You go in at 10.30am and I though it would be individual but you all go in there together.

"About 20 Barristers, all the different firms that have a case to answer, I was probably case number 160. I was told not to expect anything until 11.30/12.00 noon.

"Most of the cases go straight through. It's like a conveyer belt. The judge just strikes them off. If you've got an objection another barrister gets up.

"We didn't have a barrister obviously, we had me! So our case came up.

"The tax barrister stood up and I stood up. The judge said would you like seven more days. I said yes please, thank you very much and off I went.

"But I made two days of it, did a few jobs today and had a great chat today with Jesse Norman MP in the House of Commons.

"That was nice to have. We are all pulling the same way and trying to help the club."

Comedian Omid Djalili was on Talksport yesterday (Tuesday) afternoon and of course spoke about Hereford United and their problems.

"He was fantastic wasn't he.

"He has got friends who has said what are you doing, why are you doing it, can we help?"
