Hereford United players and staff are to receive some money on Thursday.
After last night's game at Welling director Dave Preedy confirmed that the club would use money donated by HUST and other receipts to ensure the players and staff received some of the money they are owed.
"They are back in on Thursday morning and that's when they will get paid," Preedy told BN.
"It was great to see today that the trust (HUST) have helped with the wage bill.
"Fantastic gesture by the fans giving money to help the players.
"We are doing well but we need a lot more."
The players had been told before the game that they would receive some money on Thursday.
"You saw Kingsley when he scored, they wanted the goal.
"We all needed it.
"Don't forget we are here for the football, that's the most important thing."
