News Round-Up

Cambridge have been refused permission to sign a loan keeper from a fellow Conference side after injuries to regular stopper Will Norris and his loan replacement. Norris played on Saturday with a foot injury, with boss Richard Money threatening to field defender Josh Coulson in goal. The Conference say they have already bent the rules to allow Money to sign a development goalkeeper from Aston Villa, and they will only be allowed to sign a similar player or one from a lower league.

Barnet have released midfielder Kieran Cadogan by mutual consent. Boss Martin Allen says he inherited 28 players, with Cadogan the third to depart in the past week. Allen has also told the local press that the full time club finishing below some of it's part-time rivals shows that there is something wrong at the club presently. Portsmouth say they are £450,000 ahead of their planned budget for this season. The League Two side are celebrating a year under the stewardship of the club's Trust, with over 10,000 season ticket holders at Fratton Park.

Shrewsbury's board have issued a statement to their supporters apologising for the club's performance this season. The League One side are all but relegated, with the statement apologising for the results and performances of the team and placing the blame at a poor pre-season where former manager Graham Turner failed to secure many of his transfer targets.

Kidderminster have announced that interim Chairman Ken Rae is to continue in the role next season. He replaced Mark Serrell in February. The Harriers will also retain manager Gary Whild, who has agreed a 1 year rolling deal to continue in the role he took over from Andy Thorn.
