The Edgar Street spicy soup was officially discontinued for the season last week, but Bulls News can reveal that the stockpile has actually been sold.
Seven giant vats of soup, kept at a secret base in Sutton St Nicholas, were shipped up the A49 last night to Shrewsbury Town. They will keep the soup in storage in preparation for the cold wastelands of League Two next season.
Unfortunately one of the vats split at Dorrington, causing an ocean of soup that required the Shropshire Fire Service to set up an emergency Boulangerie in the village to mop up the residue.
There were no casualties, except for a rather pungent family of squirrels.
