We Looked A Tired Outfit Said Foyle

Not much for manager Martin Foyle to be happy about after Hereford United were held to a goal-less draw by already relegated Hyde United.

"Same as the crowd's, absolutely disappointed," Foyle told BBC Hereford and Worcester.

"We looked a very very tired outfit .

"Whether the two long journeys to Braintree and Grimsby have taken its toll but we looked sorry for ourselves, we looked deflated, such a negative atmosphere here.

"But if the players can't play in front of this lot, then you shouldn't be playing a game of football.

"Passion and committment was that missing today, it looked like it.

"I could go on all day but the only things I took out of it was Dan Lloyd-Weston and a clean sheet.

"We picked up another couple of injuries again and so I'm playing the same boys again Tuesday night.

Carson Wishart With John Williamson
It was suggested by BBC H&W's Carson Wishart that the team loked very nervous during the first half.

"That's the atmosphere, that's the whole place, it's been like this for quite a while now.

"The first ball that goes out there's boos and everything like that, the players have got to handle it.

"It might be better to get back on the road again."

Keeper Lloyd-Weston was man of the match against the side at the bottom of the league.

"Weston has been absolutely fantastic."

Michael Rankine In Front Of The Hyde Keeper
Michael Rankine came on as a sub at half time instead of Frankie Artus who had picked up a knock. But he only lasted ten minutes.

"Hamstring, I took a risk by putting him on.

"We needed some injection, someone to win the first header but I took the risk and I pay for it."

Jon Brown had a chance near the end to put the Bulls ahead.

"It was a great chance, you have got to finish them, it was on the fall so it was not as though he was turning. He probably caught it too cleanly and the keeper has pulled off a great save.

"Midfield we were slow, slow on the ball, didn't close down.

"Whether tiredness played a big part of it only they will know or give me the feed back."

Some fans booed the team at full-time. Do you think your players deserved that?

"We had it for numberous games now but with Artus going down and Ranks god knows what we're going to play on Tuesday night.

"The away supporters have been very good and very popular with the lads and we're going to need it at Wrexham on Tuesday.

"It would be nice to get a three points but at the moment that seems a long way away but I've got to work with the same grooup of players.

"There's no point me kicking them when they are down everyone else seems to be doing that." .
