On behalf of the Board I would like to personally thank all the fans who turned up at the open meeting held by HUISA and HUST, in the Starlite rooms on Monday night.
There were well over 100 fans present, all intent on finding ways assist the club in its current financial position. Many good ideas and schemes were proposed and the club looks forward to working with both HUISA and the HUST in progressing these ideas to help secure both the short term and long term future.
The club would also like to personally thank Chris Page for his very generous donation, given via the Hereford United Supporters Trust, specifically to ensure the players wages are meet.
The HUISA race night sold out during the meeting, helping to raise over £400 pounds, which is another example of how fans and the club working together, United, can help steer the club through the difficult and challenging time ahead of us.
I would like to reiterate what both Chris Williams of Hereford United Supporters Trust and Keith Dodd from HUISA said at the meeting, that the best ways to support the club, is turn up for the game on Saturday, get behind the team.
I know the players greatly appreciated the support shown to them on Saturday at Barnet and it would really boost them if everybody got behind Pete Beadle and them against Grimsby.
With the game on Saturday , and the “Take That” tribute on Friday night, and a comedy night on Sunday, we can look forward to a busy weekend both on and off the pitch, all of which will go a long way to covering the wages bill and other vital financial commitments.
We have seen a great response from supporters who have rallied round and have made donations via the Official Shop Site and in person, and would once again like to express our thanks to everyone who has rallied around.
