Delighted With Three Points Says Foyle

Dom Collins Runs Towards Supporters In The Main Stand After Scoring
It wasn't the easiest of afternoon's to try and play football but Hereford United managed a 1-0 win over Salisbury and manager Martin Foyle was very pleased.

"The position we're in and what's been happening, I'm absolutely delighted with the three points," Foyle told BBC Hereford and Worcester.

"It was probably more the character today, very very hard conditions for a game of football but credit to both sides they adapted well.

"Salisbury caused us a lot of problems today, they probably deserved a draw out of the game."

Just before the game started there was a short period of heavy rain and very strong winds.

"It was bad, you could see it and that swirling wind, no footballer likes playing in that.

"Today was bad conditions but both group of defenders were absolutely fantastic."

So what is it about these players

"We've upped the work rate, don't ask me why but it's what a manager wants. They've worked hard.

"Walker caused a lot of problems over the top. Probably deserved a goal, he needs another goal for me. I thought he did well at times.

"Frankie has done well. I thought he was our best player last game because he does so much work. Sometimes he tires quickly and as a manager you make those quick decisions to change that midfield over.

"Then give credit to Josh, he sat in front again and done a fantastic job.

"Start of the second half we had three or four great opportunities to go 2-0 up but we didn't and that's probably why it made for a nervous ending."
