A club statement says the new leases on Edgar Street should be signed next week.
The Council and club are expected to sign the deal next week, but the Council will retain the new leases until the club settles the outstanding Winding-Up proceedings that are due in court on the 27th.
The club statement reads:
Bob Pritchard has confirmed that the club have received the final clean copy of the leases late on Monday.
Following a late night review of these documents by Bob, he has confirmed that all is agreeable from a club and Council point of view.
On Wednesday the solicitors, completed the leases in an engrossed form and the club currently await the plans that are to be included in the documents from the council solicitor which should be available on Friday.
The council will then undertake to sign the documents by those authorised to do so on behalf of the council. They will then be sent to the club for this process to be carried out by the club with the documents returned, this will probably take place next week.
Due to the current financial position at the club, and the existing winding up order in place at Edgar Street, the council will hold on to the leases and will release them once the club has finalised the court procedures, which the board are working tirelessly to resolve at present.
