Praise For 'Determined' Hereford From Money

Richard Money spoke to BBC Cambridge after his side lost 1-0 at Hereford. He felt illness in his squad had affected the performance

"We came across a very committed team that's for sure," said the Cambridge manager.

"Sometimes when a club is in a little bit of adversity it can galvanise people. It certainly galvanised them. It was a real tough game.

"We didn't work the goalkeeper anywhere near enough.

"We're a humble group, we know that we can come to places like this and get beat just like everybody else can.

"Now we need to pick ourselves up for Boxing Day.

"We gave them a goal which is unlike us.

"It gave them something more to hang onto. A very determined team from the start.

"They did very well."

Money said that Cambridge had illness in the squad this week.

"Half the group has been in bed for most of the week.

"We had to drag that team out on the pitch to play.

"One or two moments where there was a lack of quality can be determined by the fact a number of them have been in bed struggling for most of the week."
