News Round-Up

Chester have issued a statement confirming that Jimmy Harvey had offered to work unpaid for the club to explore the setting up of a 'development' squad at the club for 18-21 year old players. The club have denied speculation over the weekend that he was also assessing Neil Young's first team squad, and possibly acting as a successor to Young, with the board giving their 'unequivocal support' to Young.

Nuneaton have lost assistant manager Mickey Moore after he was poached by Mansfield on a two and a half year deal to join their backroom staff. Moore was previously assistant boss for the Stags before joining the Boro in the summer of 2012. Braintree have been told to pay Boreham Wood £3,000 for summer signing Chez Isaacs by a tribunal. The Conf South side say it was more than the Iron had offered originally, but less than their valuation.

Grimsby say that striker Liam Hearn will miss the rest of the season after being diagnosed with a cruciate ligament injury. The 28 year old managed only seven appearances last season due to injury, and had started only six times this term. Former Bulls loanee Moses Ashikodi has joined Margate after leaving Enfield Town. The former Watford man had agreed to join Hampton and Richmond but changed his mind at the last minute.

Macclesfield loanee Connor Jennings has been named Conference Player of the Month for November after he netted eight times in five games. Grimsby boss Paul Hurst took the managerial award.
