Gash Was The Difference Suggests Foyle

Martin Foyle felt that Hereford United deserved something out of this afternoon's game at Aggborough but admitted that Kidderminster's Michael Gash was the difference between the two sides particularily in the first half.

"We've gave them a run for their money in the second half," Foyle told BBC Hereford and Worcester.

"But the first half wasn't good enough.

"We didn't get out of the blocks. Whether it was too much Christmas pudding I don't know but we didn't do the ugly side.

"Fair play to Kidderminster, they are one of the best sides in the League and they caused us no end of problems.

"Second half we had a right good go, we cleared off the line, keeper made a great save from Micah.

"Corner after corner was going into the box, long throws were going into the box.

"I don't think we could have done anything more other than that last bit of quality for someone to hit the back of the net.

"I'll give them a big pat on the back for the second half, but probably a punch for the first half.

"They are a good side, they know how to play football.

"We've got to get on with it, but as you see my players were totally committed to the cause and hopefully nobody goes in the January window so I can keep this small group together and hopefully move on.

"We've had problems after problems ever since I've been here but we've got to get on with it.

"The club is more important than myself or the chairman.

"We had fantastic support today and we certainly appreciate it.

"Hopefully they will come back and support the boys against Forest Green.

"It's money isn't it, two big games and hopefuly two big crowds and hopefully get some points out of it.

"Gash was the best player in the first half by a million miles and that's probably why they probably paid £50K for him.

"He knows how to hold the ball up, he's certainly clever and brought players into the game.

"They are worth their weight in gold.

"I just wish I could have like that myself."
