Cambridge have added former Luton Town assistant manager Alan Neilson to their coaching staff.
According to U's Director of Football Jez George, Neilson arrives to bolster the 'minimal number of staff' on their coaching side, with manager Richard Money only assisted by five men before Neilson's arrival.
The U's will travel to Edgar Street without loan striker Kwesi Appiah. The Crystal Palace forward netted ten times in 14 Conference appearances to be their top scorer ahead of former Tamworth man Adam Cunnington.
The impact of Appiah's departure has been lessened by the arrival of forward Josh Gillies. The former Gateshead man, who netted 15 times for the Heed last season, failed to score for new club Carlisle since his summer move but netted on his U's debut against Macclesfield.
