Hereford United face three difficult games over the holiday period, the first of which is at home to league leaders Cambridge United tomorrow.
However manager Martin Foyle feels the games will be a good test for his squad.
"Some teams don't do well at Christmas," Foyle told BBC Hereford and Worcester.
"The big teams, you don't know what they've been doing, Christmas parties and going out. You just don't know.
"The weather changes so a few games like that will test their characters.
"We know we've got tough games and we'll certainly be out there ready to give them a good game."
Foyle is expected to give new signing Jamie Edge a place in the squad, probably on the bench.
He will also have Chris Sharp available again after being recalled from his loan spell at Lincoln.
Currently the Bulls are 5/2 to win the game. A draw is also 5/2.
