Too sloppy for sixty minutes said Foyle

Martin Foyle Being Interviewed By Keith Hall
In his post match interview Hereford United manager Martin Foyle felt that his side had been much too sloppy in the first sixty minutes of this afternoon's game at Gateshead. However, after three substitutions the tempo had improved.

"That was a very disappointing forty five minutes," Foyle told BBC Hereford and Worcester.

"We had a strong wind with us, we were lethargic, we didn't close down, we pulled out of tackles, we gave away sloppy free kicks, we gave fouls away for fun.

"You look at the first half and they had the lion's share of possession. So what, what did they have, a goal and a free kick we gave away with Led's being sloppy, trying to go back and being cut out and bringing someone down again with another free kick it's 2-0.

"They were their only two efforts on goal first half, then second half they had one shot that's gone across the goal.

"After the substitutions, we had a bit of life, we showed a bit of effort.

"The last half hour I was pleased with but we were 2-0 down.

"We didn't deserve anything."
