News Round-Up

Chester have released striker Marc Williams for a second time this summer. He was initially released in May, before boss Neil Young had a change of heart and resigned the 25 year old in late June but he played only twice. Former Bulls youth team keeper Harvey Rivers has been handed a first team squad number at Cheltenham, with the 17 year old being named on the bench in the League for the first time in yesterday's draw with Portsmouth.

Barnet assistant boss Ulrich Landvreugh has told the local press that manager Edgar Davids 'couldn't come' to their match at Halifax. The Dutchman also missed a lengthy trip to Gateshead at the start of the season for 'personal reasons'. Grimsby have parted company with the developers that were planning the club's new stadium. A club statement says that the retail side of the development was proving difficult to fulfill.

Portsmouth are paying out over £150,000 a month in back pay to former players as part of their CVA terms. A list published by the local press show 22 players being paid on monthly terms, most of them for the next 40 months. Luton have loaned young pair Jake Woolley and Jerome Jibodu to Boreham Wood. Woolley made a number of first team sub appearances last term, while Jibodu made the bench a couple of times.
