Hyde Were The Better Side Admits Foyle

Despite taking a point from Ewen Park, Hereford United manager Martin Foyle felt that Hyde were the better side this afternoon.

"It was very end to end especially the last twenty minutes," Foyle told BBC Hereford and Worcester.

"We certainly had two or three good chances to win the game but overall they were the better side.

"We looked sluggish at the start but we took the lead which gave us a bit of spirit in the camp.

"Then we struggled to get the ball down, we couldn't complete some passes and there were some poor decisions."

Kingsley James was missing from the midfield, he has a slight hamstring problem, and Foyle wasn't happy.

"I'm a little bit critical of the midfield today. We weren't strong enough other than in the last twenty minutes.

"You take Kingsley out of the middle and I think you  miss him.

"At the moment we're either good or bad. And there's no in-between.

"We've had some good chances towards the end, Josh had a great one, Sharp had another one. We should be burying those."

Foyle questioned whether some of his players were doing enough.

"I thought Bush was sloppy today. He was slow in possession which is very unlike him.

"I thought the subs came in, Sharp gave us a bit of energy.

Sam Smith
"Sam (Smith) is struggling with his groin a bit. I've got to be protective. If I lose him then we're down on bodies. He playing through the pain barrier.

"Then Joel (Edwards) came on and I think he was the only one who played two or three decent balls down the side with a bit of quality."

Foyle then hinted he might try and bring in a couple of loanees.

"I'm not afraid to make changes this year."

And the two Hyde goals?

"We shouldn't be giving away two easy goals.

"Did they really cause us problems for the first goal. Absolutely no chance, they didn't.

"They play in front of you, they play attractive football but they don't hurt you.

"When the goal went in heads dropped and I felt at half-time there were two or three with their heads between their legs. that's why the substitutions were important in my mind.

"But we got back into it."
