Southport Announce Manager Departure

Southport have announced that manager Liam Watson will leave the club after Saturday's season finale with Luton.

The Sandgrounders confirmed their status in the fifth tier last night, with a statement on their official site saying Watson has decided that the time is right to move on, having clocking up more games as manager than any previous boss at the club.

The part-timer, who still works for a local hospital, won Conf North twice with the club.
