Preview: Bulls vs Mansfield

The Bulls face Mansfield Town in their final home game of the season at Edgar Street tonight.

The two sides met at Field Mill in September, sharing a 1-1 draw. It is more than five years since the Stags visited Edgar Street, with Theo Robinson and Trevor Benjamin helping the Bulls to a 2-1 win as the two sides exited League Two in opposite directions. Prior to that, they were unbeaten in six trips to Herefordshire stretching back to 1992.

Martin Foyle will have a good grasp on his release list with one or two names still battling for deals for next season. The disparity in the squad this season between those on League and those on Conference deals will disappear over the summer, largely negating the budget drop expected with the parachute payments further reduced. However Foyle has fielded a side in recent weeks with only two of those 'expensive' League players as regulars and the Bulls should be able to put in a strong showing next term.

Mansfield boss Paul Cox knows his side need to win tonight to put them in control of their destiny. A draw would put them level on points with Kidderminster with identical goal differences, while defeat would leave the Harriers only needing to match the Stags' result on Saturday. Top scorer Matt Green has 22 goals in the league this term, while former Bulls midfielder Jamie Tolley hasn't featured for the first team since August.
