Keyte On Season Tickets

David Keyte along with Colin Addison and Grenville Smith
Hereford United chairman David Keyte has said that the decision to reduce some season ticket prices and matchday prices (see previous article) was taken earlier this week.

"What we've decided to do is to put a bit more differential between seats and terrace." Keyte told BN at Woking after this afternoon's game.

"So terracing has come down. Seats will be a £1 less.

"The general view is that people are reasonably happy to pay what they are for seating.

"We've got to try and put it back for the fans who have been saying it is too expensive. It's there now.

"A terrace matchday ticket will be £12. Concession and Juniors will also be less. We've dropped the bottom out of that. £30 Junior season ticket on the terrace.

"If they don't want that then I don't know where we go next."

Asked how things are at present:

"We've had a very bad month.

"I know it was the lowest crowd ever on Tuesday but when you can't even pay the match fees, the referee, linesmen, gatemen then...

"And as a board we're not going to cover that sort of gate, so yes very bad month.

"We've been saying it all along, we're still open for investments, if anybody else wants to come along and a few more punters.

"It was a one-off Tuesday without doubt but at the same time you've either got a core of support that's there or you haven't.

"They've got a chance on Monday to say whether or not they want a football club."

The away support has been good this season and once again this afternoon they made themselves heard especially in the second half.

"I would like to say thank you to the ones who came here today," said Keyte"
