New non-contract signing Craig Jones could take some part in tomorrow's Conference match against Hyde United, always assuming the Edgar Street pitch is playable.
Manager Martin Foyle has said that he wants to take a good look at the 23 year old midfielder who has joined the Bulls until the end of the season. Last Tuesday he gave another recent signing, Rod McDonald, 90 minutes and left captain Stefan Stam off the team sheet.
“We have to start looking for next season now because I don’t want to have trial matches in pre-season," said Foyle.
“I don’t want to get to the end of the season having not seen players in action and then having to make a decision on them.”
Foyle also wants the game to go ahead both for
financial reasons and to avoid having to play three matches in a week
which will happen if the game is called off.
Whatever happens Foyle will be without Marley Watkins, Simon Clist, Michael Townsend, all out with injuries, and James McQuilken who left Edgar Street earlier today.
Andy Gallinagh is a doubt as he has been suffering with the bug that has been going around Edgar Street.
Meanwhile Foyle told BBC Hereford and Worcester this morning that he hopes the match will go ahead.
"We want it on, it does look heavy, but there's a lot of sand on there.
"So it's gone from a dry bobbly pitch to a bit of a swamp.
"But it's the same for them.
"We've had a couple of days off since that horrendous journey and hopefully the boys will come in fresh and ready to go."
