Martin Foyle Giving An Interview After The Game |
Not Too Many Hereford Supporters Made the Trip |
When asked about James Musa's deployment as a left midfielder: "He's just flown back from New Zealand so there's a little bit of jetlag in there. Do I play him or don't I? Sam Clucas was injured, do I go with two out and out wingers? The lad's a left back, come centre half, let's have a look. We hadn't worked on it, we walked through it and talked through it and I thought it was a good debut.
"I thought they (Musa and Joe Heath) doubled up quite well. That was part of the plan, especially with two strikers willing to run the channels, so sometimes as a wide player you can drop deep and deny space."
When asked about starting with Ryan Bowman: "I think Kyle (Perry) was unlucky. I thought he played well for 60 minutes at Kidderminster but Ryan gives us that bit more legs down the sides and when Marley broke away (for the goal) Ryan was up for it."
Asked about Marley Watkins' fitness, Foyle noted: "Marley's had a bad time. Have we missed him? Of course we have - it's not rocket science. He does give you that cross in there, and a couple of times in the second half it was 'catch the pigeon' but sometimes he needs to slow it down for the end product."
When asked if the team can 'kick-on' up the table, Foyle added: "We're not going to get carried away. To get four points from two of, probably, the hardest away games of the season is great. We've got three home games now. Let's take the first one, Telford, we've got to have a go at and attack. Then we've got Alfreton and Dartford.
"There's a lot of games coming thick and fast, we looked a bit tired before the end today but I think they did as well."
On the injury front, Foyle said: "Chris Carruthers is training, Marlon (Jackson)'s probably two weeks away, Clucas might be back Tuesday - there's a good chance. Will Evans' nearly back, he's had an infection. Gallinagh's also had an infection plus eight stitches. Townsend's pulled out today with a calf problem."
