Foyle Pleased With Point at Southport

Martin Foyle speaking after this afternoon's game
Hereford United manager Martin Foyle saw his side take a point from Southport this afternoon. And afterwards speaking to BBC Hereford and Worcester he felt he would have taken a draw before the start of the game.

"The way things are going at the club and the injuries we have, yes I certainly would have," said Foyle.

"The start was outstanding.

"I thought we played some good stuff, the formation worked and we were doing all the right things."

Hereford were two ahead after 14 minutes.

"Then after that we stopped doing the good things, started taking extra touches in midfield and then we were getting caught and robbed. Then all of a sudden it was a free kick, then it was in our box and then it was chance after chance for them.

"Then the fluke one from the corner came in.

"Whether it was a foul on Bitts I'm not sure and then it was can we get to half-time."

Chris Todd may have been at fault for the penalty.

"I've got no complaints.

"Second half it went a little bit quiet until the last ten minutes when we had a couple of chances and they had a couple of chances.

"Then they hit the bar and we could have lost it."
