News Round-Up

Wrexham have signed Fleetwood defender Danny Devine on loan for three months but released trialist winger Simon Hackney. 20 year old Devine trialled with the Dragons pre-season but the two clubs couldn't agree a deal. Meanwhile it has been revealed that, due to the red tape that held up the deal, Andy Bishop's loan from Bury is only a three month agreement rather than the originally announced move til January.

Grimsby joint-boss Rob Scott says wage demands and the club's non-league status are hindering their search for new players. The Mariners are still looking for a forward replacement for long term injury victim Liam Hearn. Press reports says Portsmouth's bidders are yet to satisfy the Football League over their bids. The Supporters Trust are said to be a concern over payments to footballing creditors, while Portpin are alleged to be wanting £1.2million a year in rent should the Trust be successful.
