News Round-Up

Telford have signed striker Jake Reid on a one year deal. The 6ft 3in 25 year old was released by Newport at the end of last season after netting once in 12 first team matches. Nuneaton have signed striker Kyle Perry for the coming season. The 26 year old netted four times in 43 games for Lincoln and Telford last term.

Macclesfield are reported to be signing Grays midfielder Harry Agombar after the youngster spent last week training with them. The teenager had a trial with Avram Grant's Partizan Belgrade in April. Mansfield boss Paul Cox says his player/assistant manager Adam Murray is unlikely to be fit to start the season. The veteran midfielder needed surgery on an ankle problem after the season ended and will miss most of pre-season.

Grimsby are trialling midfielder Lewis Chalmers, who was released by Macclesfield earlier in the summer. The 26 year old was part of Aldershot's promotion side in 2008. Luton boss Paul Buckle says none of his coaches will be leaving the club after Carl Emberson was brought in as the first team development coach. The former keeper is Buckle's fourth member of his first team coaching staff, as well as having Lil Fuccilo as Director of Football.

Lincoln and Tamworth are reported to be in the hunt for released Crawley defender John Dempster after Mansfield withdrew from the chase. The 29 year old Conference veteran is wanted by the Imps as a replacement for Ashley Westwood, who quit the club last week to take up a coaching role with Portsmouth. Tamworth have confirmed the signing of Lee Hendrie for the coming season.

Grimsby are reported to be trialling midfielders Ian Craney and Derek Niven. Ex-Accrington man Craney left the Crown Ground in the summer after several spells with the club, while Niven has just left Chesterfield after nine years. Gillingham have averted the threat of being thrown off their training ground after reaching an agreement with the local council over payment.

Macclesfield have signed Luton midfielder John-Paul Kissock on loan until the January transfer window. The former Southport man, and one-time Bulls trialist, started only eight games for the Hatters following a five-figure move from the Merseyside outfit. Lincoln have held ticket prices for the coming season, charging £18 for seating and £16 for terrace on the day.
