Mansfield have confirmed making a bid for transfer listed Wrexham striker Jake Speight, who was announced yesterday to be leaving the Dragons to move closer to home.

Worcester have confirmed the signing of striker Danny Glover for the coming season. Grimsby have signed Braintree defender Aswad Thomas on a two year deal. The Mariners will pay an undisclosed fee for the 22 year old, who started out at Charlton and had loan spells with Accrington and Barnet.

Fleetwood have released winger Peter Till by mutual consent. The former York man, who can play on either flank, had a year left on his deal. Former Bulls loanee Lateef Elford-Alliyu has joined Bury on a one year deal following his release from West Brom. The 20 year old ended last season with the League One side.

Gillingham have been ordered to quit their training ground after the local council claimed they had not paid any bills there since 2008. Medway Council say the club owes £34,000 in rent and utility bills for the council owned site, with not a penny paid since their lease ran out four years ago. Gills chief Paul Scally claims not to know about the issue. Meanwhile, Martin Allen has denied reports on Sky Sports that he is to become the new Gills manager, saying he has applied but not spoken to Scally for some time.

Forest Green chairman Dale Vince told the Non-League Show on Monday night that they were not expecting to make any further signings this summer. Cambridge have appointed Lance Key as their part-time goalkeeper coach. He held a similar post with Rushden before their demise.

Wrexham have confirmed they have accepted Mansfield's bid for striker Jake Speight. They say the undisclosed sum will be paid in full up front. Mansfield boss Paul Cox has told the press he is interested in signing Notts County striker Lee Hughes. Macclesfield boss Steve King says Ross Draper's free transfer move to Inverness means the Silkmen will have to cut their playing staff by one as they had budgeted to receive a transfer fee.

Portsmouth's request to the Football League to have their transfer embargo 'loosened' has been rejected. They have been told they will not be allowed to sign any new players until their wage bill is reduced. Bury chairman Brian Fenton has denied the club is in financial difficulty after Wrexham beat them to the signing of striker Brett Ormerod. He admitted finances were tight, but no more difficult than usual.

Walsall boss Dean Smith says he has not contacted former Bulls loanee James Chambers about signing for the Saddlers, but he has not ruled out a move. Farnborough say they have called in Police to investigate an attempted fraud on the club. The Conf South side also say that previous financial irregularities at the club are to be investigated.

Cambridge have pulled out of a move for York attacking midfielder Adriano Moke after the player failed a medical. The 22 year old is now reported to have no future with the Minstermen after he rejected their offer of a new deal. Kidderminster have signed former Burton defender Ryan Austin on a one year deal. The 27 year old played over 250 times for the Brewers after coming through Crewe's youth system.
