Foyle Confirms Featherstone Offer

In an interview with the Hereford Times, new Bulls boss Martin Foyle has confirmed that an offer has been made to Nicky Featherstone.

The Bulls would be due a fee if the 23 year old chose to move on from Edgar Street, with Foyle adding that both Kenny Lunt and Delroy Facey have 'options' on their current contracts to extend for the coming season. He also intends to speak to Rob Purdie.

Meanwhile, rumours have begun circulating over who may be Foyle's pick as his assistant. Two names that have surfaced are those of Andy Porter and Dean Glover.

The former Port Vale pair have both acted as Foyle's assistant in previous posts. Porter, 43, was his no.2 at York and was most recently coaching in the youth section at Stockport, while Glover, 48, had the role as assistant at Port Vale before succeeding Foyle in the hotseat.

Speculation over Glover has also linked the Bulls to his son, striker Danny, who was in the youth section during Foyle's reign at Vale Park. The "lethal weapon", 22, is a free agent after turning down non-contract terms with Nuneaton despite netting 21 times in Conf North last term. He is reported in the press to be in talks over a return to Worcester, where he scored 20 times the previous season.

Worcester boss Carl Heeley told the Worcester News: “There is an interest in trying to bring Danny back to the club. I have had a very constructive chat with him and, although he is looking to keep his options open, there’s a possibility he could return to Worcester."
