Hereford United manager Richard O'Kelly was delighted with the support at Port Vale last Tuesday and is hopeful that will continue tomorrow at Edgar Street.
"The support at Port Vale was fantastic," O'Kelly told BBC Hereford and Worcester.
"The noise they made, it was as though the whole of the end was full up. It was really heartening to hear.
"What you would hope is that the home support is the same.
"From our point of view we have to give them something to shout about, I'm well aware of that.
"People come to the game - they don't have to stand there and shout and cheer but it's always nice when they do.
"That sort of atmosphere is always good for the players, but if it isn't there we have to create it."
