Hereford United manager Jamie Pitman has said that defender Michael Townsend deserved his place in last weekend's League Two team of the week. Last Saturday the Bulls defeated Dagenham 1-0.
"He's certainly got his head down and done all we expect defenders to go and just defend and be strong," Pitman told BBC Hereford and Worcester.
"He's really taken on board the information we've been giving to him.
"He's been a credit to himself because early season he was right out of it.
"He's really shown great character to get back into it.
