Swindon boss Paolo Di Canio threatened to quit the club yesterday if he was not allowed to sign four or five new players in the January transfer window. The Italian gave an interview to the BBC, that was unbroadcastable due to the amount of swearing, after their draw with Bristol Rovers where he said he would walk out if the club did not back his plans as several of the players had failed to perform and needed to be replaced.
Prior to Saturday's games, Northampton parted company with midfielder Chris Arthur and defender Ashley Westwood. Both had deals expiring in January, with Arthur making eight appearances after only signing for the side in October, while veteran Westwood played 20 times this term after signing from Crewe in the summer.
