James Linington from Newport has been appointed to take charge of Saturday's League Two fixture between Plymouth and Hereford United.
The Bulls have already met Linington this season. That was at Wimbledon in August. The result was a 1-1 draw with Delroy Facey scoring his first goal for the Bulls thanks to a through ball from Benoit Dalibard. However both Dalibard and Stefan Stam had to leave the field of play with injuries shortly afterwards. Nicky Featherstone was the only Hereford player carded that sunny afternoon.
Late last season at Macclesfield, Linington sent Michael Townsend off after the defender had clashed with Matty Hamshaw in the box.
To date this season Linington has refereed 20 games in which he has given out 62 yellow cards and just one red card.
