Former Hereford United player Alf Setchell has died. He was 87.
Born in Coventry, Setchell started his playing career with the local 'Tile' club before joining the City.
After the second world war he moved to Kidderminster and onto Hereford United.
He only had a short period at Edgar Street before moving to Bedworth Town.
Update Thursday; Some more information about Alf Setchell from Hereford United historian Ron Parrott.
Left-winger Alf had played for Coventry City and Kidderminster Harriers before signing for United in 1949/50. He played a fine game last season for Kidderminster v United in the FA Cup and impressed Tranter enough to sign him. Alf only played three games for United and left in March 1950 to link up with Birmingham Combination outfit Bedworth Town.
