Former Hereford United striker Andy Williams's goal for Yeovil effectively ended this afternoon's FA Cup-tie at Edgar Street. (Our picture shows Andy Williams being applauded by Rob Purdie)
"We've been done on the break,"Pitman told BBC Hereford and Worcester.
"Their second one, Andy Williams's, is a great goal.
"He's worked hard to get into the channel and it's a great finish from him.
"Early on in the game we had our chances and our moments but it's taken three very good strikes today from them to be fair to knock us out of the cup.
"I'm very disappointed.
"We had three chances before they got their first goal. If one of those had gone in, maybe a different game."
Pitman was without his two first choice wingers and there had been the problem of whether the Welsh FA would allow keeper Dave Cornell to play.
"To be fair we haven't had a great week, not to do with the goal-keeping situation, we just haven't been at the races this week.
"It's given us a little lesson.
"There's been something strange about it this week. It's not been quite as focused, quite as intense as we have been in recent weeks.
"It's just a little atmosphere around it this week. It's not been where we've been at in the last few weeks."
