Southend winger Jemal Johnson has been arrested on suspicion of assault. He was arrested outside a nightclub in Ilford on Thursday morning and has been released on bail.

Bradford say they pulled the plug on their moves for Charlton striker Paul Benson due to abnormalities in the player's medical. Press reports from South London say the Bantams tried to change the financial goalposts last minute. Swindon are now claimed to have made a late move, but have yet to receive confirmation that the deal was sealed before the 5pm deadline.

Former Plymouth midfielder Kari Arnason says he was sacked by the Administrators by email after refusing to sign a further wage deferral. Crewe youngster Nick Powell has been warned by the club after he called Morecambe midfielder Andy Fleming 'a girl' on Twitter. Powell claimed Fleming 'scratches like a lil girl' after their last-gasp win at the Globe Arena last weekend.

Barnet have finally agreed a termination with midfielder Tommy Fraser. The former Port Vale man played only once for the club since August, but had 18 months left on his deal. Kettering have had a transfer embargo placed on them after failing to pay their wages. They let five players move on this week including their three main strikers, but were barred from signing three young loan players as replacements.
