Veteran manager Dario Gradi has bowed to supporter pressure and stepped down as manager of Crewe.
The 70 year old will be succeeded by assistant Steve Davis, with Chief Scout Neil Baker assisting Davis. The Railwaymen have won three of their last ten games, sliding down to 18th place in the table.
Davis previously managed Nantwich and Northwich, and spent four years as a Crewe player under Gradi in the 1980's. Gradi will become the club's Academy head after 1,353 games in charge of the first team.
