Caretaker boss David Lee has left Northampton after just one game in charge.
Former assistant manager Lee took charge last week after Gary Johnson's dismissal, and oversaw their 7-2 home loss to Shrewsbury. The 41 year old former Chelsea defender had previously coached with Johnson in Bristol City's youth department.
Goalkeeper coach Tim Flowers now takes temporary charge, having previously had a nine game spell in charge at Stafford Rangers.
