The head of Bradford's development squad claims the side is costing the Bantams just £1,000 a week. Archie Christie, who was previously responsible for player development at Dagenham, assembled the 18 man squad over the summer. Plymouth are reported to be set to sign a pair of loan players. The striker and central defender are hoped to be in the squad before the weekend.

Swindon's Paolo Di Canio is one of four managers nominated for the Manager of the Month award, alongside the bosses at Wimbledon, Shrewsbury, and Southend. Port Vale supporters have announced a 'ceasefire' in their protests against the board. The Black and Gold group say the club has effectively been sold and the directors they were protesting against 'apparently no longer have any influence in the boardroom'.

Bradford's deal to sell youngster George Green to Everton has hit a late hitch after Spurs lodged a last-minute bid for the 15 year old. Accrington loan defender Tom Bender has been given the all clear after being knocked out during last night's JPT match with Tranmere. The game was abandoned with Bender, on loan from Colchester, suspected to have broken his neck.

Wycombe owner Steve Hayes has assured fans he remains committed to the club after deciding to put his rugby side up for sale. London Wasps share Adams Park and were the driving force behind plans for a new stadium, but the local council have now withdrawn backing for the plans and Hayes has decided to sell. Barnet have been fined a total of £11,000 after a teenage employee working in one of their refreshment huts suffered burns when a tea urn was dropped. The club, and their former catering manager, admitted breaching health and safety laws.

Port Vale have been reported to the FA after a linesman was struck by a coin allegedly thrown by a Valiants supporters during their away match at Crewe.
